"The OffRodeo" - "Third time lucky?"
Well, the Commodore was a bit of a problem... It really needed a replacement shell and even though we had one sitting around, it was going to be a lot of work to weld/bolt/fabricate everything into it. There was also a small issue with the back-end, in-so-much as the thing kept breaking and was a limiting factor in how hard we could push the car. We did bandy about the idea of replacing the existing HQ rear with a GQ Patrol diff. (which was actually sitting on the bench, and was something we should have done ages ago), however that seemed like a lot of work for a car that also required a new shell. So we decided to bite the bullet and spend the doolies on a Class 4 stadium truck. Now there was an interesting beast...
